U.P. hospitals recognized for patient safety

Three U.P. hospitals have been recognized for patient safety—Marshfield Medical Center – Dickinson, UP Health System – Portage, and InvestUP Board Member UP Health System – Marquette. Developed under the guidance of a National Expert Panel, the Leapfrog Hospital Safety Grade uses over thirty national performance measures of publicly available hospital safety data to assign grades based on hospital prevention of medical errors and harm to patients.
