Houghton County Memorial Airport awarded $1M FAA grant

The U.S. Department of Transportation awarded Houghton County Memorial Airport with a $1,075,000 FAA grant to go towards purchasing snow removal equipment, which will allow the airport to continue serving passengers during the winter.

When announcing the grant, Senator Gary Peters said, “Safe and reliable air travel is critical to keeping communities and businesses across the U.P. connected to important markets and destinations, particularly as we work to rebuild from this pandemic.” Read more here.
