Eagle Mine nationally recognized for safe practices two years in a row

InvestUP Board Member Eagle Mine recently accepted the ‘Sentinel of Safety Award’ from the National Mining Association—being recognized for having the best safety record, considering the number of injuries compared to hours worked.

Eagle uses safety as a fundamental in all decision making, taking a proactive approach to safety by investigating all near-accidents, so they don’t escalate. “We’ve got 400 people that work at Eagle. They’re the ones that actually won this award,” said Managing Director Darby Stacey. “They’re the ones that set the backdrop for those people to be successful and enable them to make good decisions with their safety.” Read more here.
